Feeling Grey

I hung out with my boyfriend in the music/dj studio and wore ankle boots by Trouve, a sweater from Kaisely, a blouse from a random boutique and skinny pants from H&M. Funny thing, those pants ripped the first day I wore them. Haven’t bought anything from H&M since!

The Dress

There’s so much activity on Twitter about the Royal Wedding, which I believe many stayed up  (or woke up early) to view. I, however, enjoy my sleep and knew that many sites would post footage, pictures and critiques on the whole extravaganza.

What do you think of Kate’s dress?

Sound Cloud Playlists

You may or may not know that my boyfriend’s a sometime DJ and has a radio show here at my school. Lately he’s had these random bursts of inspiration and has created a few “mixtapes” and posted them on soundcloud. If you’re looking for new dance music, check them out!

Also, like his mix facebook page!

Internship Wishlist

This summer I’ll be an intern in Minneapolis (which has no sales tax on clothing!!). All this means, time for a new wishlist!

Spring Dresses

Two new dresses from Nordstrom and one old! The first dress is by Eliza J and the coral number and the last one are by Taylor. I wore the royal blue one out to a luncheon last week and everyone loved it! At Nordstrom, I tried on so many dresses that I’m sure the attendants were dreading my exit. I love the detailing on the mint green dress, as it reminds me of some fabrics used in Nigerian attire. I think I will wear the coral one for Easter.

Designer Spotlight: Taylor Dress

I first noticed this brand a few years ago and immediately fell in love.  The dresses I have/ have tried on are always flattering and can be dressed up with heels or down with flats. I’ll post my outfit today. I feel like a “lady who lunches” haha.

I really want to stock up on fun shift dresses before my summer internship. I can wear them to dinner, work, brunch, shopping, etc and not feel too casual or out of place!

I’m Baaack!!

After a whirlwind of weeks including two conferences in Minneapolis and midterms and case studies, I’m back to blogging and reading fashion news. I feel so out of touch and hope that I can get back into the mix of things this weekend.

Last night I viewed the Bill Cunningham documentary. I’ll be writing about fashion documentaries this week for my column!

I posted about this Toronto-based band about a year ago and came across them again as I was cleaning out my playlists.
