They’re Back!

It’s strange for me to refer to bands that “I loved in college” but one of my most memorable university concerts featured the Australian electronic band Cut Copy. They’ve recently released a single, “Free Your Mind” and I love it. Thankfully, Cut Copy retained its ethereal, synth-pop sound in this laid back, upbeat song.

P.S. They’re latest album, “Free Your Mind” will be released on November 5th in the States!

Washed Out

I love this artist (who’s from my home state!) and have yet to have the chance to hear his music live. I can just imagine how amazing and transforming the concert would be. For now, it’s me and the ipod.

This is an unofficial music video for the song Call it Off. Reminds me of summer.

Enjoy!

New Video

It’s very clear that I’m a huge fan of Santigold. So when I heard she released a short song called “Girls”, I knew I had to check it out and share it with you. I love the concept of this video and the beat’s not bad either.

Global Vibes

Ok, confession. I’ve recently started randomly blasting world music throughout my apartment in the evenings. I don’t know if it’s my way of dealing with the fact that it gets so dark by 4pm or if I need an energy boost in the evenings but I love it! This is one of the songs that I enjoy. It’s so dynamic and lively.

Upbeat Music for a Cloudy Day

I can’t get enough of Two Door Cinema Club! It’s very cloudy today where I am, so I decided to post something that makes me smile.  “Sun” is from their latest album Beacon and the bandmates are from Northern Ireland.

Enjoy!

New-ish Santigold

I got her new album about a month ago though it dropped early this year. Here’s the official video for her song Disparate Youth. It’s still got that chilled-out island vibe that I love from her. I could listen to this song all day =)

Enjoy!

Soulful Selah

I’ve been into moody music lately and recently heard about Selah Sue (how late am I?!) Anyway, I think she’s the Belgian Amy Winehouse.

Enjoy!
